The 48 stores in the Angus & Robertson franchise network will continue to trade as normal following the announcement that negotiations are underway for the sale of 19 company owned outlets.
Ferrier Hodgon, the administrator of REDgroup Retail, Angus & Robertson's umbrella company, said he hopes to finalise sales of individual stores over the next fortnight.
In addition, negotiations continue with a number of book retailing specialists in relation to both the franchise network and the online business.
The remaining 42 REDgroup-owned Angus & Robertson stores will close over the next three to four weeks, with 519 people losing their jobs.
While Angus & Robertson franchisees aren't affected by these sales, their future is still unclear. Read more here.
