BBX operates in a market that offers considerable growth potential, with its modern sophisticated form of trading growing in popularity as the business community learns more about it and better understands the unique financial benefits it offers by comparison with traditional, overly-competitive markets. BBX provides business solutions and financial incentives for SMEs and Corporates, by facilitating the 'cashless' trading of goods and services between businesses. The Company, established in 1993, is the second largest barter exchange manager in Australasia and the only exchange in the world to be listed on the main board of a Stock Exchange, having listed on the ASX in August 2005. BBX member businesses currently transact in excess of $170 million per annum - this is essentially all extra business - and this figure increases exponentially with the growth in membership, representation and greater trade opportunities. BBX intends establishing a number of new franchises in all Australian States. A BBX franchise carries a low entry cost and offers a dual income stream, providing both upfront payments for member recruitment and a long term income stream from trading activity of those member businesses. The Company also operates in New Zealand through a Master Franchise and is in the process of establishing Master Franchises in China, Costa Rica and India, all of which are expected to be operational by the end of 2007. Further overseas expansion is planned. This will combine to create excellent new business potential and financial benefits for participating businesses, large and small, and provide new franchise owners with a broad and extensive business base from which to capitalise.
