Thebestof, a UK marketing franchise which works to promote local businesses, has arrived on Australian shores establishing itself in Victoria, Queensland and NSW.

Australian CEO, Max Collins, said Thebestof works with local enterprise to promote their business in their local area.

"Each franchisee champions and promotes the best businesses and events in each local area, using a variety of offline and online marketing elements. It also engages with local people and gives them a voice," Collins said.

He explains that he brought the franchise to Australia because he feels it will become an important part of the local business landscape.

"It has been proven that people overwhelmingly prefer 'local' providers of goods and services. Thebestof provides an avenue for local businesses to raise their profile in their local area, and connect with other local business owners."

The concept, of which there are currently over 350 in the UK, will be popular among Australia's potential franchisees, Collins said.

"Unlike most other franchised businesses, it has low monthly overheads, no stock or employees, and provides residual and rapid income, with little or no financial risk involved."

So far, three franchisees in Australia have completed training and will be launching Thebestof in South Yarra (VIC), Marrickville (NSW), and Southport (QLD), with advanced negotiations underway in South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.
