Franchisees in the retail business Cartridge World are reaping the rewards following an extensive overhaul of the company website, with figures showing the upgrade is engaging its visitors.

Cartridge World marketing manager Ian McNab said “Our statistics show visitors are staying longer, stores are getting more leads from the website, and there is a significant decrease in the bounce rate where people open the page and leave within the first 3 to 5 seconds and new visits are up by over 10 per cent on average.

“We have got a specific B2B link for business customers to see the services that will benefit them and the tailored business solutions we can offer, such as printer advice and delivery. Directing sections of the website at business owners has meant a better flow through to our franchisees,” McNab said.

Extra features include a Cartridge Savings Calculator, media centre and more efficient store locator.

The next step for the website, www.cartridgeworld.com.au, will be an online shopping capability planned for release at the end of 2010.

Cartridge World operates more than 1,600 stores in 53 countries, with a projection for 3,000 stores by the end of 2011.
