Franchised convenience retailer Star Mart took the best stand award at the recent Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo held in Sydney. Benjamin Galton, franchise development manager, explained recreating a store environment at the shows would help build brand awareness. "The stand is very open and has an emphasis on freshness," he said.

Look out for the award-winning stand which features plasma tv screens, product and equipment at future franchising exhibitions in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane this year.

The franchised Star Mart chain is part of Caltex, and counts 562 retail outlets.
