Pizza Cutters has been named the Best Takeaway in the Nothern Beaches of Sydney.

Pizza Cutters' Northern Beaches store has been recognised in the area's Local Business Awards, taking out the top prize for Fast Food/Takeaway.

To compete in the awards, customers vote for their favourite businesses in their local area, and those companies that make the final cut are randomly reviewed by another customer, who looks at the business' menu, cleanliness, community involvement and customer service.

"We're continually making sure that everything is as good as it can be," Simon Lumbroso, co-owner of Pizza Cutters, told Franchising. "We only buy and use the highest quality ingredients to make our pizzas, we're always developing new items for the menu and making sure the staff are well trained. We've got pizzas on the menu that are gluten free. We've got Heart Foundation Tick approved pizzas, wholemeal bases, dairy free pizzas. We try to cater for everyone and give the best service we can and the best product we can."

The win has resulted in an increase in business for Pizza Cutters, which also has outlets in Castle Hill and Wahroonga.

"Pretty much within a week of winning the award there was an increase in turnover and customers, and that's without doing any marketing for it at all. Just word getting out," Lumbroso said.

The awards were announced at Dee Why RSL Club on Tuesday, 5 July.
