With just two outlets in Melbourne, the Oxygen Skin Centre is ready to expand its business. Founders Natalie and Michael Dempsey have focused on the hands-on paramedical aspects of beauty therapy, prescribing appropriate treatments and skincare products from the highly respected professional lines Dermalogica and DMK. There are no machines in use in their centres. It’s all designed to be a warm and comfortable experience.

Adding to the soft-edged ambience are beautiful and affordable shop fittings. "We have great designers and franchisees don’t need to spend so much on the shop fitting," she explains.

The Dempseys understand the trigger points of the business and provide back up and support. "The core of the business is the front desk," reveals Natalie. "We prescribe and don't have sales targets, there's no pressure on our staff or customers."

Who is the perfect franchisee? "We want people who are interested in wellbeing," Natalie says.

Points of difference:
Niche market: hands-on paramedical treatments. Low cost shop fittings.

Under $350,000
