Home Timber and Hardware is an official supporting partner of Movember, the annual charity event that men love and women dread, where moustaches sprout on thousands of men's faces around the world, all with the goal of raising funds for men's health.

This is the third consecutive year that Home Timber and Hardware will be supporting the cause, and will be hosting activities in-store and online to encourage people to get involved and support the two causes that the hardware specialist is supporting: prostate cancer research, through The Prostate Cancer Foundation, and beyondblue, the national depression initiative.

Andrew Senyard, Home Timber and Hardware's national marketing manager, said that as well as raising money and awareness, the hope is to start conversations among men in communities throughout Australia.

"Thanks to the widening geographical positioning of our stores, we are delighted to be able to help extend the Movember message to reach smaller communities. From day one, Home Timber and Hardware stores have found Movember to be an important conversation starter in their local communities – conversations that probably would not have been had otherwise. "

This year, Home Timber and Hardware is running an online promotion throughout November inviting everyone to show off their DIY projects for the chance to win a $1,000 Home Timber and Hardware Gift Card. For every video uploaded, Home Timber and Hardware will donate an extra $50 to Movember.

And of course Home's store teams will also be showing off their mo-growing efforts throughout Movember.
