Franchise book retailer Dymocks has officially opened a Brisbane store at the Q&A Building with book signings from celebrities such as chef and author Matt Moran and Maeve O'Meara from tv series Food Safari.

Franchisees Jon and Pam Welch have the team from The Chaser visiting the store on Friday 11 December and further in-store activities and signings on the way.

Lady Mayoress Lisa Newman and Dymocks CEO Don Grover cut the ribbon at the event. Grover said "Dymocks is proud to open this new store in the heart of the community and offer the ultimate destination for Brisbane booklovers."

The 130 year old Dymocks business now has more than 96 stores in Australia, seven in New Zealand and 12 in Hong Kong, and sold more than 60 million books last year.
