Contours Express has been named as a finalist in the Franchising and Licensing Association Singapore (FLA) Franchisor of the Year Award.

The FLA Award, which began in 2005, aims to recognise the most outstanding franchisees and franchisors in both the local and international business markets who have demonstrated strong drive, entrepreneurial skills and the ability to deliver high quality services.

Contours Express is one of the fastest growing franchise concepts in Singapore. The first Contours Express studio was opened in Singapore in December 2005, and has since expanded to include seven franchise outlets in Singapore and one in Malaysia.

Another four Contours Express franchises are due to open within the next two months.

Chairman of FLA Singapore, Douglas Foo, said "I am heartened to see that the economic slowdown during the first half of the year has not deterred companies from participating in this year's awards."

"We have a good combination of both homegrown and master franchise concepts, and as with past years, the calibre of this year's finalists is very high."
