A mum who purchased her first mobile coffee franchise from her overseas-bound son has been named Cafe2U's national franchisee of the year for 2009.

Jenny Kidd of Forestville in NSW, who now owns two franchise opportunities, won via a points-based system that took into account product sales, business maintenance, attendance at company meetings and several other criteria.

Kidd built a successful run in St Leonards and within four years had hired an employee to work this area and expanded into Chatswood with a second van.

“The bigger results come down to the individual. Jenny’s passion for people and her relationship between her and her customers is one to be admired and is the key to her successes,” said Cafe2U founder Andy Simpkin.

Kidd's honorary award includes a three week trip to England and Europe where she will meet fellow representatives from Cafe2U UK.
