Mobile coffee franchise, Cafe2U, is kicking off the new year with the announcement that it will soon be expanding into Tasmania.


With 117 franchises across Australia and 180 worldwide, Cafe2U is searching for franchisees for three Tasmanian territories: two in Hobart and one in Launceston.

Cafe2U managing director Derek Black said, "We are extremely excited to finally be taking the brand to Tasmania. We see it as a great growth opportunity, with a strong coffee market ready-made for stimulating Cafe2U expansion in the territories we have earmarked."

The Tasmanian expansion plans follow a successful year in 2011, when Cafe2U launched in the US after signing a master franchise deal and unveiling its first territory in Oregon. A second franchise, located in California, is also due to open early this year.

Mark Andrews, Victoria's Campbellfield Cafe2U franchisee, believes the expansion to Tasmania will quickly attract interest from potential business owners and customers alike.
