The International Franchising Association's annual convention takes place in San Antonio, Texas, US, from 5 to 8 February, with an Australian delegation heading over the Pacific to find out more about international franchising and US trends.

Franchising magazine will join other delegates in the Franchise Council of Australia's group visit to the convention to report back on the most important franchising news and views in the US. Up for discussion at the event are summits on international franchising, new markets, technology, and successful franchising.

Educational sessions include leveraging social media for franchise sales, fostering franchisor/franchisee relationships and how franchisors can help franchisees navigate the changing business climate.

Former US President, George W Bush, is the keynote speaker.
